Since its founding in 2012, Betania has been committed to assisting victims of human trafficking and gender-based violence in the province of Cádiz, specifically in La Línea de la Concepción. This commitment began in 2012 following the liberation of 25 victims of human trafficking.

Since then, our professionals have specialized in addressing these issues, resulting in the expansion of spaces dedicated to women affected by this serious social problem. Currently, we have homes in Cádiz, Seville, Málaga, Granada, Huelva, Madrid, and Tenerife. We provide care to victims from all the provinces of Andalusia, in addition to making referrals and offering support to other Autonomous Communities.

Our homes offer specialized and diversified care, tailored to the individual characteristics and circumstances of the women. We have residences for women victims of gender-based violence and their young children, homes for pregnant women or those with children under three years old, as well as a specific home for women who are victims of human trafficking, sexual exploitation, and prostitution, including minors affected by these circumstances.

In these spaces, we provide comprehensive care that includes psychological intervention, social and educational assistance, legal advice, training and employment guidance, as well as support in the healthcare field.

We are committed to continuing our work to offer a safe and supportive environment for all the women and minors who come to our homes seeking help and protection.

Awareness and education program
#SinPuterosNoHayEsclavas

The pioneering and innovative #SinPuterosNoHayEsclavas campaign was created by Betania with the aim of raising public awareness about the role of prostitution consumers in the sexual exploitation of minors and women, and promoting social involvement in the fight against sexual slavery. The campaign involved a tour across all the provinces of Spain’s autonomous communities in a van branded with the slogan #SinPuterosNoHayEsclavas.

During these tours, “awareness stops” were made, recreating the atmosphere of a club with neon lights and victim testimonies to highlight the reality of sexual exploitation and human trafficking. Additionally, prior to the tour, contact was made with provincial and local media in each target location. Collaboration with the media was fundamental in disseminating the campaign, generating public awareness, and encouraging the population to participate and visit the awareness club’s location, thereby reaching a larger audience. Visibility of this issue was crucial for people to become part of the solution and help eradicate sexual slavery.
