The project team has designed a plan that focuses on the individual needs of each person and on vicarious learning obtained through therapeutic groups. We consider the type of addiction and the stage of change each individual is in, following Prochaska and DiClemente’s “Stages of Change” theory. This allows us to work in a personalized way to move towards the action and maintenance phases.
To evaluate the program’s progress, we will use a methodology that collects both qualitative and quantitative data. The specific methods are:
- Direct observation: This will allow us to understand important aspects of the participants.
- Questionnaires and surveys: These will provide relevant information, both from the self-applied perspective of the participants and from the technical team’s viewpoint.
- Individual Interviews: Individual therapy sessions will complement group sessions and allow participants to directly express their perceptions of the program.
Our project is part of the III Andalusian Plan on Drugs and Addictions, particularly in the socio-health area. Following these guidelines, we have redesigned activities and objectives to improve the program’s effectiveness. Transversally, our project adopts a gender approach, promoting equality and a gender perspective in all activities and objectives at all times.
